but i do agree that is a great car for the money performance wise...all the journalists say it handles like a dream and it is very controllable as mentioned.

Corvetts are only "very controllable" if the driver is actually good at controlling the car. A lot of newbs will just slam it into some wall, guard rail, or into a ditch.
