Awesome Windows Sound Configurations

Sorry to disappoint you, but I don't have any, I'm asking if there are any.

Anybody know of communities of people who have the hobby of making awesome sound configurations (like the startup sound, etc) for Windows (or other OS)?

I mean, I think it could be really epic. Usually if I'm not doing anything advanced on the computer my brain's CPU usage is a lot less than 100 percent. If web browsing wasn't just web browsing anymore but also a coordinated musical experience clicking X's at the right time after scrolling down and stuff it might be cool.

Yes, but sometimes people create full packs where every sound follows a theme and are produced nicely so it doesn't sound like a one-man-band walking on a street coated in doggie squeak toys when you're clicking around your computer. Doing it yourself sound by sound can consume epic amounts of time and sound rough if you're not a good audio engineer.

Actually win98 was the last MS OS that sort of had a concentration of windows sound schemes, but alas - from an ex professional IT POV it's not something that is thought of as a needed experience on corporate PC, but I can see where MS has dropped the ball a bit on consumers PC's. The Vista default sound scheme is goofy, XP is non-descript. I simply don't think it is a major concern for 95% of users anymore, but I do think that the default schemes that ship with win should be improved, and there could be 5-8 total sound scheme "packages" that can be applied that could sound decent for new PC users, and those that care enough to use them. I turn off all windows sounds myself 🙂
