Maybe a couple tubes and valves running from a few balloons? He could just release a little at a time to slowly glide down. I guess the last time he attempted this, he had to parachute down because he popped a few of them and descended too quickly...

There's a movie about a guy that does this. It was made in Australia. Can't recall the name but it was a pretty good watch.

Personally i wouldn't do it though.
