come on man, the video is hilarious...my favorite part is when he swings the crocquet ball thru the hoop and the next scene is the guy just following the ball. Just that scene almost made me fall out of my chair. Think of how ridiculous that scene is.

it had the opposite effect for me. it was immediately thinking ultra cheezy 80s synth pop which i hate but then i think i started to get what they were doing.
 
crazy, they are on vice records which also has the streets, the stills, bloc party, the boredoms, death from above 1979 and various other bands.
 
That seems exceptionally good for homegrown stuff. But if that's actually record-label music, then it immediately becomes bad.

haha yeah i love how supposed music 'heads' fall into such shallow generalizations. They denounce people who only watch mtv and popular music but they dont realize they do the same thing when they say all mainstream stuff is bad.
