Been on vacation here for a couple days, so far all the restaurants we've been to have been pretty lame. I need some good recommendations :D

There should be a lot of good places in center city / olde city.

i know there's a fogo de chau or something like that on ~16-19th and chestnut. as a poor college student i can't afford to go to eat out like that (and i'm always busy during restaurant week :()

Tangerine in old city is a good mediterranean fusion place. it's a steven starr restaurant.
if you wanna try some weird but very good dishes, try ansills in 4th(?) and bainbridge st. a block down from south street. don't forget to walk around society hill and south street while you're at it. i'll post more restaurants if i get some free time later today.

We went down to Penn's Landing last night and stopped at Franklin's Fountain, that was pretty awesome:

Their sorbets and sodas were dairy-free, so that was cool. That's pretty much the best food place we've been. Last day here tho :D

Check out the waterfront. I remember going to a dinner there with Rachael and her family one time. I think it's called the waterfront, at least.

Cheesesteak.

Totally allergic to dairy :(

Fail. That sucks. Geno's is good shit.

Pat's Whiz Wit and fries >>> Geno

I'll keep it in mind. I ate at Geno's at like 2am, all shitfaced. Took a cab from the Tower Theatre, saw Geno's, made driver let us out.

what you lookin for for your last meal here? the two restaurants i recommended were more upscale. if you wanna do a nice belgian beer place that has some pretty good mussels and stuff, try eulogy. not as upscale as the other places, and you can sample like 50+ beers on tap and hundreds of bottles. it's a block down from the franklin fountain place on chestnut st. i def gotta check out franklin fountain. thanks for the tip
