Awesome, my company (Halliburton) is being protested right now!

LOL...any other conspiracy theories you care to share with us?

Perhaps you know where Hoffa's buried or who really shot JFK?

Actually there is no conspiracy theory! There was no reason for this war other than oil but then I am sure you will counter by saying that Saddam was a bad guy and he needed to be spanked

how much are you guys paying Cheney again?

Wrong.

He got $179,000 last year from Halliburton.

I don't have a problem with it, but saying he was paid in full in 1999 is incorrect.

Beat me to it. That and Halliburton is still one of the largest donors to the Bush white house

I'd just like to know why, since we are supposedly over there to steal oil, gas prices have sky rocketed?

The war was about oil for the French and the Russians. Perhaps you should look into how they were illegaly buying oil from Saddam during the embargo. Maybe that's why they were so opposed to us doing something over there.

We don't have enough refineries to refine crude oil into gasoline.

Yea the higher the price of oil the more money Exxon, Halliburton, etc... and all of Bush's/Chenys freinds make. And of course the more they make the more donations Bush gets

Look at the profit margins exxon, Halliburton, etc... have been making SINCE we went into iraq

< sarcasm > Both were Halliburton contracts paid for by U.S. taxpayers. < /sarcasm >

That said, Hallburton really is one of the corporate bad guys. I still wonder why Dick Cheyney still hasn't been indicted for pulling the same accounting crap as the Enron boys when he was Halliburton's CEO, using the same Arthur Anderson accountants telling him how to do it. Now, Halliburton and their subs are under indictment for various mulit-million dollar frauds against the U.S. under their no-bid contracts in Iraq.

Ummm.... No. If you get back to it, the hippies were about exercising free speech to advocate for peace, love, ending an unjust war in Viet Nam, and getting rid of a criminal in the Whitehouse named Richard Nixon. A lot of that parallels what's going on, today.

The hippies were also into a lot of chemical distractions that got in their own way, but I'll take their motives and direction over today's corporate greed and arrogance any day. I'm old enough to have been there the first time. If you weren't, I suspect you don't have a clue about what was really happening.

I like your spirit Harvey but its just that people who much better dressed and sober will be taken more seriously than a bunch of ragged out people who are high and dancing their way away in front of Halliburton. Read the OP's first post again to see what I mean.

Nobody's going to confuse Halliburton for a good guy. Good thing their former head is now running the country behind the scenes (yes, Cheney), so they won't be getting in much trouble. Gotta love donors.

I love how the other side just abuses how "hippies" dress/act/etc. to attempt to discredit them instead of coming up with any sort of real argument. The tactic works, but it doesn't say much for their true motivations.
