There has been some discussion on these forums about the Kingmax PC-150 TinyBGA memory modules. I ordered a 128MB SIMM and here are my current results as reported by Sandra 2000:

Memory bus speed: 167 MHz
Bank 0 Setting: 64MB SDRAM 6-1-1-1R4-1-1-1W
Bank 1 Setting: 64MB SDRAM 6-1-1-1R4-1-1-1W
Bank Interleave: 4-way

ALU/Memory Bandwidth 537 MB/s
FPU/ Memory Bandwidth 620 MB/s

I have been runnubg this configuration for several days with no lockups or other difficulties! This RAM rocks! It is currently availabe for only $105 at Mwave- I/m not sure who elase carries it.

System specifics:
Abit KT7-Raid
Thunderbird 800 @ 950 MHz (112 * 8.5)
Viper 770 ultra
Dual Maxtor 40GB ATA100 RAID 0
Lots of other stuff.

I have screen shots of Sandra if anyone doubts.......

Go into the mainboard information module- the Logical/Chipset Memory banks information is the 4th major division down. The benchmark info is self-explanitory.;)

It must be Win2K- there is a ton of information under Motherboard Information under Win Me. Can you dual-boot into Win 9x and try it there? Anyone have a solution for Win 2K?

Sandra is not intended to work with Win2000. They are supposed to be releasing a version called SiSoft Samantha that will work with Win2000, although I have no idea when.
