I've got a mild case of hyperhidrosis... which basically means my arm pits sweat all day long, even if I'm just sitting in front of a computer relaxing. The only time those badboys are perspiring is when I sleep or if I'm extremely relaxed / almost asleep.

Well, I bought some prescription deodorant (Drysol, 20% aluminum stuff) and.. holy crap! It works. I had to put it on last night.... and it KILLED... felt like razor blades cutting into my arm pits and then became really itchy. Woke up this morning and used soap and water to clean it off. Now today, there is not even a DROP of sweat in my armpits... when normally I'd be dripping. Hopefully it works for the rest of my life.

Does that sound healthy? I don't think so.

Yeah, same thing as me. Axillary is the armpits area I believe.

There are some surgeries to correct it (ETS and some other one) but the first step is to try this DrySol stuff. I didn't think it would work on me because I've tried about every single deodorant out there and it seems like they always made me sweat worse!!!

But this stuff is amazing (so far). Not a drop of sweat after 5 hours.

Does shaving pits really help? I sweat in the pits all day long too... Shower twice a day and everything. :( I don't smell, just don't like having wet pits.

You DO NOT want a surgical sympathectomy. There are numerous complications with high occurence rates. There are also complications with surgical excision, sometimes causing sweating to be worse than before. Stick with the DrySol.

Drysol does work but it BURNS if you put on too much. If remember the first time I used the prescription version of it. HOLY CRAP! Talk about pain. That's when I learned about moderation ;)
