16 ounce tub of sour cream
1 pack of ranch dip mix
real bacon bits or imitation
shredded cheese of liking

Make the dip as normal then add in the bacon bits and cheese to desired amount, this seriously rivals rotel

Do you have any good dip recommendations?

couple blocks of velveeta, can of cream o mushroom soup, can of green chilis, can of jalapeño (both diced) and spicy sausage. brown the sausage first, add it in a crock pot and let it simmer for a few hours. eat with white corn tortilla chips or ritz type crackers (my fave)

its not a really hot dish, but the jalaps and green chilis add a great flavor.

My son calls that the "Dreaded Cheese Sauce." He considers Velveeta to be the nastiest substance ever created. It ranks below toe jam and banana slugs on his edibility list.

Velveeta is marginally more edible than cream of mushroom soup. They are both nasty.

I take:

1 onion
1 bell pepper
1 or 2 jalepenos
1 zuchinni

Cut 'em up. Toss in a little olive oil and fresh crushed garlic. Throw it in the oven @ 450 for 45 minutes. Stir it twice while it's in there.

Pull it it out. Let it cool for 10 minutes. Now toss it and box of cream cheese into a food processor along with a pinch of salt & pepper. Pulse until smooth.

Stick it in a bowl and let it cool in the fridge for about 2 hours.

Dip with crackers, pretzels, veggies, use it on bagels, ect. Awesome stuff.

can of chili - I like Con Carne (no beans!)
block of Velveeta cheese
various hot sauces.

you can use any chili you like, and any cheese, Velveeta melts good, the Frito spicy cheese in a can is great too. You can't mess it up unless you make it too spicy, I like more cheese than chili, but you can load up on whatever you want. I cook it over low heat stirring a lot so the cheese doesn't clump up. And usually just put a few shakes of 5 or 6 different hot sauces. If I fuck it up and it comes out too hot, that's where a 6 pack of Newcastle comes in handy :)

Tostito chips, or any tortilla chips are the best with this, it's usually too thick to eat with a ruffle type chip. A typical batch for me will be 1 or 2 12 ounce cans of chili and about 2x as much Velvetta. I have made it with more chili and it was still tasty. It makes enough to last me a week and I never get tired of it. I love Ranch based dips, but sometimes a change is good.

block of Velveeta (pound I think) and 2 cans of Rotel...mix it in, microwave a minute at a time, then stir(repeat until done). I use the extra hot Rotel, but you can use the Original or mix 1 of each.

ADOBE DIP

1 lb Velveeta Cheese
1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes & green chilies
1 lb hamburger
1 package taco seasoning
1 package (5 oz) Mahatma Authentic Spanish rice

Brown hamburger and mix with taco seasoning as instructed on taco seasoning package. Make rice per package directions omitting ketchup. Cube the Velveeta cheese and mix in large microwaveable bowl with can of Rotel Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies ? do not drain can.
When hamburger mixture and rice are ready, mix into bowl with cheese & tomatoes, microwave until hot. Serve with Fritos or Tostitos chips.

Recipe can be varied by using different types of Rotel canned tomato products and taco seasonings. If the Mahatma Rice can?t be found you can use regular rice or another type of Spanish rice.

Salsa Ranch Dip

1 packet Hidden Valley Original Ranch Dips Mix
16 oz. Sour cream
1/2 cup Thick and chunky salsa
Fresh chopped tomatoes and diced green chiles (optional)
Tortilla chips, for dipping

Combine dips mix with sour cream. Stir in salsa, and extra tomatoes and chiles, if desired. Chill 1 hour. Serve with tortilla chips. Makes 2 1/2 cups

Although I think it's better with a full cup of salsa. Never tried the optional part.
