Why'd they go with a 10k RPM SCSI drive? They should be using 15k drives if they're really going all out...of course I doubt I could ever need the extra juice for anything I run, but it's a disappointment if you ask me.

Nice system, but the sticker price is definitely for the rich.

It's not SCSI, it's SATA Raptors.

A gaming rig...with an Intel proc. Right...

Pretty cool that it's "powered by fire", though. Sure beats electricity.

For the money I would rather buy a good used car, and then spend the leftovers on an AMD based machine that would probably be faster.

This is plain stupidity. They make a 10K comp, but they don't liquid cool it, and they use an Intel CPU. If I was gonna spend 10K on a comp, This is what I would get.

AMD Athlon FX-60
4GB Corsair PC-4400 3-4-4-8 ram. (fastest DDR out there for the size (1GB sticks) and overclocks like mad)
Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe (hey wait, I have that mobo :D)
2 GeForce 7900GX2's in SLI. (well technically Quad SLI)
Swiftech Liquid Cooling
Koolance 1KW Liquid cooling case
PCP&C 1KW PSU

This would pwn the dell like mad and probably cost just about as much or a little cheaper even.

Has anyone seen Intel's new liquid cooling solution? Reportedly allows OC on a 3.8 EE to 5.0Ghz and the kit costs ~ $50...

Yes, like other posters have said, Intel is the devil

Someone should come out with a motherboard that can take multiple processors, 2 for Intel, 2 for AMD, that way, fanboys from both camps can STFU, and companies can CPUs from each manufacturer, so they don't have to hear people whining about which processors to buy for a multi-processor board.

Finally starting to see the new Ageia chip making its rounds, interesting to see how much of a difference it'll make.

No. Kentsfield. Quad-core.

Gee.... now if only we had alot of applications that could take advantage of all these cores..

soon (hopefully) we wil.

what'll be interesting is if the cores get simpler and start to machine-gun it like that new sun processor as normal apps start spawning more and more threads to handle everyday functions.
