e-brake + gas

I've seen a lot of this, mostly with trucks though, hicks that like to spin their tires until all the tread is gone. Same thing here only more urban.

IIRC you need a setup whereby you can release the brakes on the back wheels while keeping the front ones locked.

Oh, and RWD;)

I thought e-brake was for all four tires?

Maybe... but when the hicks at my school all got together to do it, they just used the e-brake. Maybe it takes more finesse with a car.

No. Certainly not with RWD.

Yeah... now that you mention it... I'm recalling stuff from drivers training waaaay back... that the rear wheels should be locked and the front wheels unlocked to maintain some steering ability. Regardless, it's kinda stupid to ruin perfectly good tires for 5 seconds of smoke.
