Awesome beer in Atlanta the other day

I was in Atlanta for two days for business and for dinner went to the Steak and Ale restaurant. I had this awesome locally made beer, but I can't remember what the bartender said it was called. I do know it's not Peachtree ale because he recommended against that one. Anyone from ATL know what I'm talking about? The tap he poured it out of was a fish or something, and not a normal looking beer tap. This beer was DA BOMB! If wasn't already wasted, I'd have had more. It was slightly hoppy and fruity. It went down easily and left a clean aftertaste. I don't normally rate beers, but this had to have been the best I've ever tasted.

I must have more! DON'T MAKE ME INVADE YOUR CITY!!! Send out your beer and I'll leave ya'll alone...

Sweetwater is the best local brew in Atlanta. Most people like the 420 best; I think the best they make is there IPA, followed by there Porter. All their beers are pretty good, and they give a hell of a tour on Mondays and Thursdays at 4:20 (who would have guessed?). Bring $3 and they give you a glass and 4 refills! Good times! Google their webpage for directions.

Sweetwater site.

SWEET!! That fish on their site is what I saw on the tap. I don't think you can ship beer across state lines can you? I guess I'll have to take more "business" trips to get my fix.

I'll be in Burlington over Thanksgiving. I'd be happy to bring you a case or two. I'll probably take at least one venture over to Chapel Hill......we could meet up there if you like. :)

Don't do it! Fausto just wants to get you drunk and tie you up in the basement for a little re-enactment of the "Gimp" scene from Pulp Fiction. :p

Uh.....not that I'm speaking from personal experience or anything......

If you were already wasted I have serious doubts in your ability to determine if a beer is good.

I'm sure it was Sweetwater like others have mentioned. I've been drinking the hell out of it lately...

the moment you said atlanta, i knew it had to be a sweetwater brew - love those - one of the great reasons for visiting atl!

<---- needs to get his hands on some more of their 420 and porter (not a big ipa fan)
