On Discovery now. They had a robbery take place in 72 in California where some guys spent 3 days breaking into a safe after disconnecting the alarm system but most impressively they had a situation in Germany. A gang broke into a bank and took hostages. They demanded ransom and were given about $2.5 million. Finally the police stormed it, took out the hostages and then were like "Hmm, where are the bad guys?". Well ALA the great escape these guys had spent several months building a tunnel system under the bank and they all escaped through it. They were home watching TV apparently when the police stormed the building :Q

Hopefully the tunnel didn't lead to their house.

I think the most awesome failed bank robbery was the one in LA a few years back. The robbers were armed to the teeth. Damn, that sh!t was crazy!

LOL, that line reminded me of something. A few years ago, a guy robbed a VFW club here. He stole too much stuff, so he took a tray from there, piled everything on it, and drug it to his house across the snow.

LOL, the cops just had to follow the trail.

Yeah, that was crazy stuff. The cops' guns were pretty much useless against these guys. The only reason they were able to get some good guns was because the local gunshop owner opened up and gave them to the cops. Crazy sh!t...

Thats pretty crazy.

Bank robbing is a classy crime. Too bad its not viable anymore. The only crimes that get any news involve any or a combination of the following: underage kids; sex abuse; rape; kidnapping; drug rings; terrorists and bombs. Besides terrorists, drugs and bombs the rest of those crimes that involve the others are going to earn the criminal a visit from Bubba.

Try watching an all news channel sometime in the middle of the day. I have seen them take over an hour to watch a police chase.

Might want to add politics in there.

I saw the documentary on that. Apparently the cops couldn't take the guys out for awhile because they were wearing bullet proof vests. They actually killed a couple cops and after the incident there was talk of restricting the sales of kevlar garments.

If they actually arrested and jailed people for shady dealings/crimes in politics I would add it. Do you think we would have any one left to run the government heh?

Damn that show isnt on Monster Garage is on with the mini school bus.

Yea, remeber that incident at Alcatraz. A large group of bad guys took all of the tourist as hostages and threatened to luanch some chemical attack on LA. Even the seal team they sent in were killed. Crazy stuff. I think they had to find some old prisoner that escaped from it to lead a rescue. ;)

Not True FBI Man Dude. :)

Luckily, NOBODY was killed other than the two bank robbers.
That was just dumb luck. Those two guys could have EASILY killed a dozen or more people (they tried). The good guys just got really lucky that day.

Heh, that image of Val Kilmer calmly walking and smiling, before starting to shoot in that shootout is stuck in my head now.
