This is Clockwork, my fifth major K'nex ball machine, and my largest and most complex K'nex structure to date. It took 8 months to build, has over 40,000 pieces, over 450 feet of track, 21 different paths, 8 motors, 5 lifts, and a one-of-a-kind computer-controlled crane, as well as two computer-controlled illuminated K'nex balls

I lack the ability to build any of that cool stuff, i had problems following the directions that used to come with a small boxed lego set, but its neat to see the things other people make. Just saw that link today and thought it was relevant to this post when I lurked on it a few days ago, so i figured id come out of the dark and post it.

I would love to build machines like that, but a small Lego set costs about $20. I don't have $50,000 to spend on enough Lego for a machine like that.

I used to like making my own stuff rather than what the instructions said. I remember when I got the K'nex rollercoaster set. Man I had a blast with that. I remember making random stuff like a wind powered crane and wind powered rollercoaster. Basically made a turbine and put a fan in front of it and it totally made it work. Then there was the deathcoaster. Oh that poor K'nex man got lot of abuse from me.

I just totally got an awesome idea. so I've been wanting to build an enclosure for my server rack as it's a 4 post and I want to make it cleaner looking and add cable management stuff and all that. Will also improve airflow.

I need to find bulk lego pieces. Just need the standard rectangle brick ones. Anyone want to fund a lego server rack? :p
