actually this is a very good monitor, better than the df line. this is an aperture grille trinitron (a "real" flat screen) which the df's aren't. look around for a 900nf if you can spare some extra cash.

I'm aware of Dell's deals, and the 955df is fine, as are most Samsung monitors imo, but the NF the dynaflats are a notch or two below these. I'm posting because this price represents a significant drop from the previous lowest price.

I make it a rule not to buy monitors via mail order or online unless shipping is free or it's just a giveaway price. I've gotten way too many screwed up monitors from Dell to risk ever buying without seeing it first. The only thing that made the Dell deals good is that shipping was free and so was the RMA shipping. If you have to send this thing back once for an RMA, the shipping will just kill you.
