I just set up a new computer but for some reason I'm having abnormally long boot times.
When I get into boot and the computer is first detecting IDE devices it will take like 30+ seconds detecting. Everything appears fine at this point. It has my HDD as Prim. Master, and my CD-ROM as Secondary Slave.
When it finally gets past this screen it jumps into a RAID detection screen and says something like the following:
Serial ATA RAID BIOS Setting Utility
Scan Devices, Please wait...
Etc. Etc.
Etc. Etc.
After this screen when it gets to the final boot screen (the one containing IRQ's), it shows a RAID driver as one of the IRQ #'s. Is that normal?
This wasn't happening earlier and I installed Windows flawlessly, now that I changed my config however, all this stuff has been happening. Does it sound like I have RAID enabled? If so, how do I disable it? I looked EVERYWHERE in my bios and couldn't find anything.
AwardBIOS.
Thanks,
Tyler Lucas
