Award for underachievers of the week goes to....

Vermont high schools better implement shot clocks. How boring it must be to watch 2 basketball teams play for 1.5 hours and only have a final score of 5-2.

I bet the game went a lot faster than a normal game. Few turnovers, few fouls, sounds like they just ran out the clock... the whole game!

I think its cool! but, also pretty boring to watch im sure. becomes a game of keep away..

LOL I live in Vermont. MILTON IS GHETTO and filled with morons. BFA is also redneck. Thats some funny stuff!

I'm not surprised the underdog did that b/c as mentioned, they were within one possesion of tying up the game at the end (probably wouldn't have been close if they played all out), but why would the better team not try to score? Out of spite?

I saw a 7-6 girls HS game in the paper a couple of years back. Sad part is they use a shot clock and couldn't just sit on the ball. If memory serves the team that won had 2 field goals and shot 3-for-twentysomething from the foul line.

Looks like they did what they set out to do. Seems their definition of 'achievement' and yours might not be the same.
