The strangest thing happened to my bios. I was playing around with a64tweaker and I locked up soon as I played with my cas. I figured I go into the cmos To loosen the timings so more bootup wise. To my surprised after enting the cmos after 2 seconds It would freeze up and display a bunch of ascii characters in different colors.
Being quick my my keyboard I pressed CTRL f1 and tried to get to the chipset(ram) and MIB.
To my surprises the memory page was huge, It had 3 different memory scrubbing, 32bit HT , Driving strength A few more HT parts that werent standard The memory clock was in dividers instead of the standard 100-200. It HadA few bank options, DRQ strobe rate (but no drq enable?).
For the MIB, I had CIB options, The MIB was no longer set to memory models but was based on a hex number. The thing had alot of options you would see in A64 or CPUZ With different options for the l1 and l2 cache, Even a l3 cache.
Sadly when I copied over my backup bios cmos data eveyrthing was gone.
Sadly I can only recall Some of the items Ive heard off and ones that stood out, And I could have taken a picture but Alas I thought it would survive a cmos revive.
Its funny If you fry your board enough there has been multiple cases where you can unlock a a64 to another mulitpler, wither good or bad, Im wondering If i confused the board Of what was inside it, So it gave AMD INtel And opertoron Options because the bios was confused
What got me Was Im positive Cache checking strentghs and timings are chiped based, why would a motherboard be allowed ot touch em
Im just hoping theres a way to renable it with a keystroke, Much like the neo 2 where you did shift+f2 and then alt+f3 For a few driving and voltage settings
This isnt the normal CTrl +F1, It was like a unlocked bios
