I'm not NEEDING a computer. Just badly wanting one / and I'm wondering whether the 200 series chipset is anything worth waiting for? The Kaby Lake CPUs are up and coming and I hold out, I'm just not sure whether I want to... But if the chipset is coming in tandem in January, then I can be patient. Good for the humours or something.

Pretty much as I see it in looking at
- thunderbolt 3
- few more pci-e lanes

Anything else worthwhile?

Well there's "support" for Optane, but Intel hasn't exactly explained what support means.

@whm1974 - I thought they had decided to go with just PCIe Optane storage for now? Or is that the point of 'native' support - to be able to have DIMM sticks?

--- Are they saying the release is January do you all know?

Yes, pretty much. But the DIMMs will be mostly for servers.
