... and now comes MP3PRO. I realize that the new format has dual streams and the existing MP3 car players probably won't be able to take advantage of this upgrade.

I wonder if this is the reason that Crutchfield cut the cost in half for the Kenwood Z828 yesterday? It's back up today but I wonder for how long? D@mm this is getting as bad as the stock market.

What should I do? Get the Z828 any whey when it drops in price? Or wait for the new format? At $700 I would like the thing to be usable for at least a couple of years anyway.

I'm just waiting it out... markets just a little to volatile for me right now. You got the new mp3pro and dvd-r and dvd-wr on the way. I would hat to buy a $700 mp3 player to have a mp3pro dvd reader appear for $500 6months from now.

I have decided to look for a high end head unit with multiple line ins and just pick up a low end mp3 player that i can plug into the line in and replace with whatever come out later.

Yea,

Maybe the component approach might be the cheapest way to go in the long run.

Now,
What components do I look for?? Arrggg
