If you don't mind me asking, which company did you work for? (PM me if you don't want to publicize it) If you are looking for that type of work, i'd try RIM in Waterloo like everyone else in K-W as they always seem to be hiring.
Other than that, there are a ton of small/medium companies in the Waterloo Research Park that would love someone with your skills.
