Yeah, great link. Although it only confuses the issue further for me. Now I might consider the 2013 Samsung plasmas too, I guess.

don't get a sammy... just don't. crappy company and only plasmas that I have seen have issues are samsung. Get a panasonic

might want to get a Vizio then i guess..I am looking for a new spare tv, my 50" samsung has a Power supply issue it seems, works intermittently (working right at this moment). Ever since water from my bath tub fell on it, its been acting funny. Home Insurance wont do jack since the tv was deemed working ....

So that said, I'd probably get a 50-60" tv until i get around to fixing the samsung.

Panny plasmas have issues too. I am not defending Samsung because I think they suck, but you can run into issues with a Panny too.

lulz, blame the tv for not getting out of the way of water dripping from the ceiling.

Scour local classified for another of your tv that someone is selling because the panel is busted and the electronics are still fine.

that is how I fixed my in laws' 50" Panny. It failed during warranty, got fixed, then failed again 2 month out of warranty.

I just played board switch-a-roo till it worked. Total cost, 140.

Yeah the I love my 65inch ST50. My wife almost prefers the picture of my older 50 inch Samsung Plasma, but I love those deep blacks and smoother motion.

The Panny plasmas did not fair very good on reviews at amazon. A lot of them complain abount a line apearing in the center of the screen a nd other things. Also complained a lot about poor support when they called about there problems.
