I wonder if it was filmed rated R but was heavily cut to fit into PG-13 like King Arthur was.

If so they better release a Director's Cut and I'm willing to bet that if this is the case the Director's Cut will be massively better.

What else is new. They wiener up every potential good action movie nowadays with the PG-13 rating.

Yup I have noticed it also. They cut the 'nats' off any decent action film. It just makes more money for the studies in the end...

its not human gore, its alien gore :)
The humans dont die too much in this film, maybe half, and by then it shouldnt be that bad, a couple predator zaps, a face hugger or 2.... falls off a cliff..... i saw a scene with the predator being rpped apart, looked all green, not bloody, so maybe they dont care as much as its not human?

But does the PG-13 rating apply to violence towards real world things, such as humans? What if a predator slices an alien in half, does that count towards any ratings?

PG-13 doesn't really mean all that much anymore. Terminator 2 would probably be PG-13 if it were released nowadays.

I'll still go see it... I'm hoping for some goddamn violence and vulgar language though.

Could just be that "fantasy" (alien) violence doesn't count against the rating as much as human violence. *crosses fingers*
Or maybe after Alien Resurrection, they want to tone it down a bit...that movie was just nasty.
