Awesome..but must play demo first - tired of too many "ain't that cool looking" games only to find out they are pure crapola. :)

Looks like it could be really cool. Plus a DX11 game. Im sure at least the visuals and sound should be nice if anything

Very tempted to jump on it.

£24.99 which makes it around $40 plus a free copy of Universe At War.

It's not out for a while so I think I'll wait until nearer the time.

I will wait 6-8 weeks for the inevitable 50% off sale.

Or £18 from Amazon and the like. Without some free game that no one cares about.

If they give a damn about being true to the previous games, this should be awesome entertainment.

I would rather have it on Steam but.... for the price difference, I think I might go to Amazon.

The pre-order bonus for AvP via Steam is just a couple of skins plus that game.

By all accounts the game that comes with it for free is very nice and has some good strategy elements, however the servers are dead. Seems like people schedule to get a game going.. so unless AT was going to revive the game it seems like Steam just trying to offload their keys.

Bah, and I bought Universe at War during the holiday sale... Blech! The single-player seems very consoley. Haven't spent much time with it yet.

As for AvP, I'm definitely buying it. The first was brilliant, the second was great, and this one will hopefully be amazing.

Hopefully those were taken from the console version...

After reading the Steam forum for the new AvP, I've now gotten worried that it's going to stink and lack that spark of greatness that the original and AvP2 had...

it kinda feels like there gonna do a left 4 dead type scenario no?
Even down to the team of 4.

Only there will be 3 different fractions instead of 2.

AvP2 was done by Monolith, AvP1999 and now AvP2010 are both Rebellion. Monolith is the one with the impressive PC gaming resume. Most of Rebellions games seem to be either hand held versions of various PC and console hits, or just mediocre originals unfortunately.

Hmmmm... Well, I thought the original AvP was brilliant, but recreating that atmosphere and resisting the urge to resort to cheap "Doom3" scares will be difficult, I think. However, Rebellion did make Rogue Trooper, which, despite being limited and somewhat consolish, did have some glimmers of humour and some occasional refreshing gameplay.
