Tomb of headless bodies at Mexican pyramid

MEXICO CITY, Mexico (Reuters) -- The discovery of a tomb filled with decapitated bodies suggests Mexico's 2,000 year-old "Pyramid of the Moon" may have been the site of horrifically gory sacrifices, archeologists said on Thursday.

Uh... AvP didn't have a tomb full of headless bodies, though. Both the movie and the Mexican temple share sacrificial chambers, but so did lots of other societies on earth besides the Central Americans. The chambers were used for all kinds of ways of killing folks.

Now... if you find a sacrificial chamber of people with their chests burst open from the inside and hefty sized "eggs" that seemed to have peeled open about 8 inches from the top... then... THEN you can start to worry.

Yup, quite possibly. But preds don't walk around with their shoulder casters and targetting systems scanning all the time. Do Marines shower and sh|t with their M4's locked, loaded, and pointed in front of them all the time? All that little thing has to do is find something to eat and it'll grow into a Predalien. Those bastards are rough.

questions is..would the predalien:

1. be twice as big as the original...since preds are twice as big as humans?

2. be as smart as the preds?

the combination of 1 and 2 = we lose!

Not really, no. First of all, the entire movie isn't realistic. So there. Second of all, those chest bursters can hide anywhere because they're small enough and they're fast as fvck. The other preds walked away and didn't know he was "pregnant" with one when they were leaving earth. I wouldn't be surprised, with how the movies and games have always gone, if the preds never actually made it back to their world alive.

It wouldn't be any bigger than the biggest alien or predator, which ever is bigger. The alien queens are much MUCH bigger than any pred, but I don't think the predalien's potential includes queen-sized. The predalien would harbor a wicked combination of the alien instinct, strength, speed, society structure, and reflexes with the predator's intelligence and skill.

No the predators would have taken the predalien down. Come on. Did you see how big there ship was. Once a coupld predators die, the rest of the predators would have geared up and hunted in packs. THye would destroy the predalien

Well, that's true. From the size of the ship and the ship's apparent crew size from Predator 2, it's easily conceivable that the crew size for a ship the size of the one from AvP could easily be several thousand preds. I highly doubt the predalien would be able to kill them all, actually. He might take down a couple dozen, but I'd forgotten how big the size of the ship was until someone mensioned that. However, the predalien would have working knowledge of the predator's typical tactics and weapons though...

and since they inherited the predator's intelligence, they would turn the ship around and repopulate the earth with predaliens....in which case, we lose!

The predalien would require being a queen in order to reproduce. When the predator was hit with the face hugger and was "egged" (haha), a queen was already near by and awake. I doubt a face hugger was set up to plant a queen... or however that works. The chestburster seen at the end of the film would most likely just be a drone.
