What do you think? That better be hand delieverd for $23.....imo. I have no idea why many ebayers make their items so low priced yet so high shipping, when they'd sell just fine at the price you really want to display and the [reasonable] shipping and handling. I understand ebay fees etc and paypal fess and all....

I guess this isnt really a rant, just wanted to see what others thought, not only about this situation but others as well.

this is the point. they want to catch you on the shipping charges since bidding is a binding agreement. they want you to think you have a steal... but then, you check the shipping (quite possibly after you bid) and you're screwed.

I realize that, but take for instance this particular auction, its not that the final price [shipping plus item] isnt reasonable for what you are getting, 144 cable straps for $24...isnt that bad, but, would it not have sold [just as well] if making the item price, say, $16 and the shipping $8?

And they pay listing and final value fees on $1 to top it off.

I always include the price of shipping in the auction total, so it wouldn't fool me.

I've been in the market for some lead acid batteries lately, and there's basically no point in ordering them online. They're simply too heavy.

I'm not going to pay 50$ plus 40$ shipping for a 115Ah battery when I can down the street to Wal-Mart and get one for 55$.
