AVOID the AbiT AB9 if you own a 7950GX2 Video Card

Well, I was excited about 4 hours ago....

I received my AbiT AB9 board (Intel 965P chipset) and moved everything over to it
including my Intel 920 chip (Until I get my Conroe....)

Well, the Board will NOT boot.. Goes through Everything and returns an error code
of 25 on their Bios Post to troubleshoot....

Low and behold... It cannot recognize that Video Card is plugged....

Actually, after hours of searching, I cannot find ONE damn review that is done
with this chipset and the 7950GX2...

Not even a mention of incompatibility....

Are the REVIEWERS awake at the wheel ?!?!?!?!??!?!!

Anyways, avoid this board, this chipset, and PLEASE have Thorough reviews of the top
video cards in the future.....

I wouldn't have gotten the board had I known that it was incompatible with the 7950GX2

I wouldn't have thought that 25 signified a video error - have you tried another gfx card to confirm?
Other than the Anandtech preview I haven't seen any reviews of the AB9 yet & as you say I haven't seen any 965/7950GX2 tests but afaik it should be something that just requires a BIOS fix.

doesn't a board have to have some type of sli in the bios or onboard before the 7950 gx2 will work.
I read that it won't work in a std board that does not support sli but they didn't say exactly how that worked.
