There's an 'arty' web site called nerve.com. I decided to give them a little support with subscriptions in 2005 and 2008. Then I canceled, I had little interest in the site.
Unfortunately, I did not get any confirmation of the cancellation and just assumed it went through. I haven't been checking statements and just found it's been continuing.
I contacted them and asked them to reverse the charges. Their response said they would reverse the last 12 months - less than half. (I haven't logged in since 2008).
OK, some compromise is an option considering the time frame where I did not catch it.
Then they sent a second note. No, they won't reverse any charges. And they claim it's an annual membership none will be reversed for (it wasn't). And they say they sent me a '30 day warning notice' on the renewal; they didn't (if they use the same address as they do for customer service). Their last e-mail was in response to a ticket in 2008.
So, I told them I'd give them some negative PR for the bad service. Sad to do after trying to help them before, but mishandling a cancellation is not ok.
