Avoid Courthouse Amoco car shop like the plague

The seller of my newly purchased 1993 celica GTS took it to the Courthouse Amoco shop for the maryland safety inspection and paid $1300 in the replacement of the power steering pump and the steering rack.

Soon after the purchase I notice an oil leak, the fluid seems to be power steering fluid, but I suspected the radiator was leaking since the steering had just being repaired.

3 days and 20 miles after I bought the car, the power steering suddenly failed completely during a right turn, I almost hit the oncoming vehicle. Remember this car had just passed the safety inspection. The car now makes a loud growling noise when the wheel is turned.

Today I towed the car to Amoco for diagnose, I gave them the key and explicitly told them not to repair the car. I wanted an inspector to look at the car for evidence.

2 hours later they inform me that they have thoroughly checked the vehicle and could not find anything wrong with the steering, they found no leaks whatsoever. IMPOSSIBLE!!

So now I'm out $75 for the tow truck, time wasted, and a close call. I don't trust the mechanics and have no idea what they may have done to the car.

What do you suggest I do? small claims court?

to those that live in the area, avoid amoco like the plague, they are nothing but a bunch of liars.
