I have the mx892. it started printing blank pages, no matter what I did.
(clean cycles, new ink, etc)

apparently, it's not just me:

lots of complaints about the mx892 just printing blank pages, even tho it printed fine 10min ago.
looks like a blown circuit board.

also happened on their mx850 models too:

and of course it's out of warrenty.

Moved from GH to Peripherals.

Try removing the print head and cleaning it with rubbing alcohol, including the electrical contacts. Not sure what the life expectancy of the print head is or how much use you gave it. This is one of the drawbacks to printers with ink tanks as the print head is seperate. On older printers, the print head was inside the ink cartridge and got changed every time the ink cartridge was replaced (at a higher cost per ink cartridge)

Are you sure? Sometimes people just get defected printers. Out of the millions produced, some have to be defective. So, out of 10 million, probably 1,000-5,00 are bad.

I dunno, I've got an MG5220 scanner/printer that I've had for a couple years, and used extensively. Not in love with their software, but I've had a couple of Canon Printers now and have had good luck.

Sounds like you got a dud, or are having technical difficulties.
