I'm putting a new C2D System together. Likely the E6400 w GS-965P-S2 etc. I'm not a gamer but do quite a bit of video encoding. Given that I could generally care less what video card I get, seems like I should opt for an X1K series and use Avivo. I plan to hook up a 20 or 21 inch widescreen with 1680x1050.
Any recommend a good card. $120-$200 is fine. Does the catalyst convert software come with most of the cards or is that another purchase?
