AVIVO and an Xbox

Hi, I've recently finished constructing my shiny new computer before I leave for uni in a couple of weeks. Now because of the obvious lack of room I've chosen not to take my TV, what I'd like to know is, is it possible to connect my Xbox to the TFT moniter via the video card seeing as it supports AVIVO and how would one go about doing this?

P.S. Just for reference my the graphics card is an X1900 XTX.

Cheers

You've got a computer with an X1900XTX in it and you're still concerned about an Xbox?

I'm curious about this as well. I just ordered my 1900xtx, and from how I understand it, there is a composite input (the yellow one in the string of yellow/red/white) So you would just plug that into your video card (most likely through a dongle) and THEN, if you want sound, which I'm assuming you do. You'll need an adapter to go from the stereo rca jacks to an 1/8" mini plug to plug into the green output on your soundcard/mobo. And that should do it, theoretically...

don't know about using vivo for an xbox, have never tried it (my xbox is connected directly to my LCD monitor via component though composite and VGA are also options for some monitors)

but using a 1/8 inch miniplug on the blue line-in jack on your sound card should be sufficient for stereo audio from the xbox...

Why, I love my Xbox and if I wasn't at work I'd be stroking and willing it to be on my monitor :p.

Aaaanyway I have tried a VGA box before which I bought from ebay which works fine on a CRT monitor however it does not work on my TFT (I say doesn't work the picture quality's awful and the colours off, only way I can describe it is it's like watching TV with very poor reception). This is why I was looking at the AVIVO functions. Many thanks for the links tuteja1986, I'll have a browse through those when I get in as ebay is blocked here at work. With regards to audio I think I'm ok as I use an optical connection straight into the sub.

I can actually connect the Xbox to the card using the S-video connection but I have absolutely no idea how I would go about 'enabling' this input to actually display S-video input?
