I recently used AntiVir Personal (Free) edition. I uninstalled it before Installing the Trend Micro Internet Security 2009 that I have now.
But today my Trend Micro (TM) product began to act strangely & sluggish. Windows Security keeps saying TM's Spyware section is out of date but does say the antivirus part is up to date.
The TM product seems to get stuck at downloading the Update.
So i figured I'd uninstall TM then reinstall.
Now that my TM 2009 is uninstalled my Windows (Vista-64bit) Security Center is correctly stating that No AntiVirus program is present, but in the "Spyware and other malware protection" section it is saying "Avira AntiVir PersonalEdition reports that it is turned on"
Weird actually cause I uninstalled AntiVir many months ago.
I can not find any listing of AntiVir in the Programs and Features section of Control Panel. Nor can i find any trace of AntiVir by using Windows Explorer.
Any Ideas how I can locate this Installation of AntiVir on my PC and then Uninstall it ?
I guess its possible that Windows Security center is Erroneous but I personally don't think so. I think somehow the antispyware section of AntiVir wasn't uninstalled.
Thanks in Advance
