AVI to DVD software

Trying to help my dad out. He is in the process of converting a bunch of VHS stuff and it is currently in AVI format. He wants to copy them to DVD's to watch on a stand alone player. Right now the total size of the data is around 12GB and maybe 1/4 through this project. Is there some software out there that will let you batch the AVI files, convert them to a DVD format and burn them to multiple DVDs? Something that would also let you create chapters so you can set titles for each individual AVI file.

ConvertXtoDVD. I've been using it for years. It requires nothing else for the install -- ie., it's standalone, you don't require to work out with various drivers or codecs. One thing that bugs me is that I purchased a license for it online (version 2). Amazing software -- then right after they release version 3. I finally upgrade and pay again. Then they freaking release version 4 and for the love of God... they want me to pay again. I don't need to move up to version 4. Tried the bata and saw no difference. Either way if you have to get it from scratch, get the latest of course. Try the free version for a month and see if does what you want.

It's very simple to use. You can drag and drop the files, folders etc.

You can create your own charpters, breaks, how the DVD will play (rght to movie or to menus etc.). I have never batched any so I cannot attest to that if it can do that. Anyhow for me at least it's the best -- never had a DVD that would not play after. It can convert to DVD from ANY source.

I am sure there are others, but that has been my fav for ever.

ConvertXtoDVD is great and it's what I use most of the time.

However, for a free alternative that does a great job try dvdflick. Click.....

I settled for DVDflick when I was auditioning software to do this awhile back. It worked the best out of the ones I tried.
