AVI onto a DVD

I want to burn a movie that i made in a AVI file to a DVD. I dont think the dvd player ill be using supports DIVX either. Is there another program i could use to switch it to a different format that would play on a regular DVD player? and if there is what is it?

Anyone able to help me out?
