AVI Files and Windows XP

Hi guys, I am having a problem playing back some AVI files in windows xp. I know there was a fix a while back that stopped them causing 100% CPU. does anyone know about this fix?

Not sure if this will help but you might need to download the xVid and AC3 codecs. You might also need to download WMP9. As for the 100% CPU usage, I donno. Hope this helps.

ive also noticed that wmp9 is actually cleaner looking. maybe its just me, but it seems to playback video cleaner and clearer then 8.
