Hello,
I was reading a topic on a flight simulator web site, Avsim.com, that I found interesting. In a nutshell, the article slammed AVG virus scanner, the free version, as worthless. They showed a graph of missed virus' and while most of the top scanners missed less than 20 virus', they showed AVG virus scanner to miss 1123 virus'. The poster didn't say where the graph came from. I found that disturbing as I have the free version of AVG 7.0 on both my PC's. Also, if you go to this link, they seemed to like it so who do I listen to? http://www.anti-virus-software-review.com/
I have read some reviews elsewhere on AVG and thought they had a pretty good reputation. Has anyone here had any experience with AVG virus scanner that they wouldn't mind sharing. As with anything else, opinions very wildly on what constitutes a good virus scanner. I just want to be well protected and thought I was until I read that article. Any feedback or recommendation would be deeply appreciated.
Sincerely,
Hans Groenewold
