Avg temps for AMD Phenom 8450 x3

Is that normal, I was talking to a friend about instability issues, so I asked about his cpu temps. He showed me a pic, at, idle, with core temp showing 68F. Is that even possible? I mean, the room temp was 70F!

Glitch, or are AMDs stock coolers really this good?

glitch, there is no possible way the temperatures can be under ambient temps, unless you are under water or some other extreme cooling

Ok, well, could you suggest a way to get a real temperature?

realtemp? or any monitoring software from the mb manufacturer. i know speedfan will require you to adjust temp offset for x2 cpus (about 18C). If it's the same for x3, then 68F could actually be 100F (38C) which could be right though it seems slightly high at idle unless it's overclocked or cool 'n quiet is turned off
