Is there an actual FREE version of the AVG antivirus program ?

I see a "Free" trial version but isn't that free for just the 30 day trial period ?

AVG free version ,personally I think Avast or Avira is better.

I concur. AVG has been subpar since version 8.

Why would you pay for AVG? It has sub par detection rates, and an irritating update routine. I've never used an A/V that requires as much restarting as AVG does.
