AVG 7.0 disabled ?

I have AVG Anti Virus 7 installed. When i turned on the machine today i found that the AVG icon in the system tray had lost its color(is it disabled?)

i doubled clicked the icon and it comes up with the Control Center. the internal virus database s out of date, however when i try to update it using the internet option i get the message

"no new update file is available at the moment. Please try to update your update your AVG free edition again later"
 
weird .. i know when i have multipled accounts logged on, then the email scanner disables, which is kinda annoying.

maybe someone can shed light.
 
make sure your windows date ie correct, it did this to me when i set the wrong date and it thought the definitions were old when they really wernt
