Averatec Notebook PC model 3225H

ive used the older model with the amd xp-m 1600, and the keyboard sucks, that backspace key really does bother me, and i don't think i can deal with it... it is really small and ultra portable so if that is what you are looking for then great.

just go to a nearby circuit city and check it out

We have had a 3150p since December and my girlfriend uses it quite heavily everyday in her business. So far no problems. Keyboard is only thing that worries me but I think you can buy them directly pretty cheap. Some keys are smaller but you get used to that pretty quick. Display is great also.

Great bang for the buck and very small and easy to carry. Check one out in person before you buy. We got ours at OD.

PS: Ours came with no manual but found out it was on CD. Their Tech Support by phone has been good the 2 times we called.

I just ordered a 3225 from micro center. Right now they have it for $1050-$250 MIR. I had to purchase it from one of their locations over the phone though to get the extended warranty and screen protection plans ($190 for the 3yr protection plan and another$130 to add screen protection).

another alternative to the 3225 is the 5110 series...centrino package and only 5-6 lbs i think i forgot the specs, but they seem to be a bang for the buck...only thing i would worry about is if you like the keyboard or not...

they have an aluminum case so the aesthetic appeal is pretty good

I have found a great forum to discuss Averatec products:

I just purchaed the Averatec 3225H and I am very pleased with it thus far, no problems at all. Also ordered from MicroCenter.com online, and the cost was just over 1,100 (after tax) and I have 2 rebates totalling $250 so it will end up being $850 after the rebate checks come in.

I have this laptop now..bought it from CC. not bad for the price..but the battery life is not good.....It says AMD-M, but it only last like an hour and half or so...maybe..I have screw up charging...
