Average tempatures for E6600?

MOBO: asus p5b deluxe, heatsink: ZEROtherm CF 900

My CPU temp are hitting 42C in Bios, in Probe 40C.

I was just wondering if its normal

I assume those are your idle temps? What do they look like under load?

i'm assuming you didnt put much of an effort in bringing down the temps
for me, @ 2.8ghz, 1.225vcore, with freezer 7, i hit 25/28 idle, 39/41 load

doing 32-34c idle 57peak load on prime 95 small fft's, i think i may have put a tad bit too much thermal paste on when i built my system so the load could be maybe a degree or two lower. just try to keep the cpu under 65 at all times, preferable 60c.
