Average temp for P3 CPU?

I still have a Pentium III 1Ghz socket 370. I just put some Arctic Silver 5 on it with a dual fan heatsink. The heatsink has a small aluminum foil glue to it. I took that off but not sure if I was supposed to. Temperature now at idle after bootup in room temperature, 70-75 degree, is around 55-56. Restart after continous use shows CPU temp at around 60 degree. I don't know if that's normal for a P3 1Ghz socket 370 or not. If anyone still own a P3, please let me know your CPU temp at idle and after regular use.

If your room temperature is 75 degree F, and your CPU Centigrade? If it's Centigrade, 40 to 50 degree Centigrade is OK.

My PIII runs at 120 degree F. My laptop runs at 93 degrees F.

hmmmm. Can't get temps up on this machine. oh well. The damn HS is passive, and it's hot, but the machine is still working, so that works for me.

Thanks everyone. That's cool. I'm sorry I mixed up. The one I was asking is the slot1 1Ghz w/ 133Mhz bus using 1GB PC133 total. It's actually at 51-52C after bootup as reported by BIOS and 57-58C after continuous use. The other P3 system I still have, also 1Ghz, is socket 370 and it's really lower 42-43C idled and about 5C more but never over 50C when in used. This one does have bigger fan 80mm and a copper/aluminum hs. The slot1 has 2 fans but really small, only 50mm and I dont know what the hs is made of. I guess it's still normal as long as it's below 75C because the alarm is set at that default.

Thats pretty high, my overclocked 850 Mhz(1.1 GHz) Slot 1 P3 ran at about 34C/43C load....
