Hey, I did a search on google and couldn't find anything on this. Does anybody know of a site with a current listing of the average income of a person depending on their major right out of college? For a BS, MS, and phD? Thanks.
EETimes used to do something like this about once a year (I let my subscription lapse a couple years ago). Of course, they focussed on the electrical engineering/computer disciplines. They categorized by skills/job type rather than major/degree though you can infer degree from some job types. They also and took geographic location into account. For a very rough ballpark estimate of what to expect, it was probably sufficiently accurate but by no means would I reference it when discussing salary with human resources.
I suspect most industries have trade mags that do similar annual surveys.
