That's RIDICULOUS!!!!!! :Q I would freaking MOVE out of my state if it got that high. The minimum wage went up again here in Oregon and my cousin was like "YES! That means I'll get a bigger paycheck!" Then I told him that, because his employer has to pay him more, they'll raise the prices of their goods. And because I didn't get a raise because I make more than minimum wage, I AM GETTING SCREWED.

yeah you're absolutely right. I used to live in VT and I have a friend who works at burger king (who is too smart to be there but anyways) and for starters the guy who owns the chain in VT doesn't make much money, the one where my friend works in berlin, VT (outside of our joke of a capital, montpelier) does not even turn a profit every year because the population is too low and VT basically has a false economy. But anyways my friend told me that the owner would find out when the state minimum wage was about to go up, and then offer the employees a "raise" ahead of time to the new minimum. That way he wouldn't have to give a raise later.
