So I was waiting at a light about 3 cars back. The light has a left arrow and it turned green (opposing side has left arrow also) but regular light still red. The guy in the very front decides to take a left (even though there is a separate left turn lane which happens to be empty) and the 2 cars behind in start to move forward as if it's a green light and almost heads on into the opposing cars taking a left. It's scary how unaware the average driver must be.

ill sometimes move forward a few inches when i notice people not paying attention to see if they start to go. probably not the smartest thing to do, even tho ive never caused an accident doing it... the most people do is go a few feet and slam on the breaks. makes me giggle tho, and makes my 1.5hr drive home a bit more fun.

I'd go as far and say that the average person is a sheep.

Forget the driving. It's part of every day life

Why does it take most people 4 to 5 seconds to take their foot off the brake when the light turns green?

Why do people leave huge gaps between their car and the car in front of them when they are making a left turn? Normally, the car in front has almost made the complete turn before the car behind them even starts to move.

I saw a woman ram into a 2 foot brick wall on my way home from work today. I caught a glimpse of the front of her car afterwards, and there was a good $2,000 - $3,000 worth of damage to her car.

Yesssssss!

Depends on the intersection. Sometimes I want to be certain I'm going to be able to complete the turn before I begin. Think about a left turn into a parking lot with medium traffic. If the guy in front of you made the turn then stopped right at the entrance to the parking lot so he could take a spot from a guy about to leave you may be screwed.
