So it took 13 years for the sequel, and I doubt people will be impressed by CGI these days, still I'll probably go see it in theaters.

Oh yay another Hollywood sequel..... :rolleyes: o_O

At least it might be visually impressive on the big screen for what that's worth.

The original Jimmy Cameron Avatar wasn't that good of a movie, probably a ⁶/¹⁰ tops, but made an assload of money because people were buying 3D tickets at 2-4x matinee prices. (Average ticket price in 2009 was $7.50, matinee was a buck or two less. 3D tickets were $20+ back then.)

The original was such a huge success because nobody had ever seen anything quite like it before.

This looks like just another schlocky animated/CGI sci-fi movie.

jeez the thread title scared the crap out of me.

for a second i thought someone gave m night shamallamadingdong more money to do a last airbender sequel.


god remember when 3d tvs and nvidia 3d shutter glasses were a thing .... that no one was interested in.

Trailer seemed geared towards that too. Lots of "see? This is pretty" and not much about the premise
