Avatar -pronounciation

I think I was dropped on my head as a child.. for some reason I always pronounce words strangely from others. Before this movie hit, I pronounced avatar: 'aye vay ter'

And people laugh at me when I say Toshiba for some reason.

And how the hell do you say 'mono' (stereo)? Somebody use to say it is 'mon-O'.. but isn't that a disease? How about 'Moe No'?

Use http://dictionary.reference.com/ before speaking, and possibly thinking.
It even gives you the correct pronunciation of the word so no guessing is involved.

edit:A quick check says they are all right, though some words should be changed to make it flow better.
