Avast question

In the settings selection. Is it beneficial or not to choose " show Avast tray icon " ? Does it slow up loading of Windows?

The icon itself does nothing for performance one way or the other. It does give notification when it's "thinking", so it's helpful when things get slow or something. It can help determine if it's Avast causing the performance problems.
