Avast! Pro 4.7 or Kaspersky Antivirus 6?

Well, my friend wants to buy an Anti-Virus software. I've been using Avast! Pro for the last few months. I've heard that Avast's scan is slow. But I have a doubt. I've scanned my PC with Avast! yesterday. That was amazingly fast. Here is a screenshot -->

Whatever, my question is which would be better to buy?
Which is more reliable and less resource hungry?
Well, my friend wants to buy Kaspersky ... but I recommended him Avast! Pro 4.7.

What's your opinion? Please share .... thanks 🙂
 
It's not the fastest out there, but it is one of the most thorough and ultimately that is what count. You can do quick scans if you like. Are you in a hurry?
 
It can be at first especially on a old windows install , and depending on settings. 30 day free trial at kaspersky, I have nothing but good things to say so far. After 10 years of Norton getting fatter and more (headaches) integrated to windows any good AV is pleasure...
 
Kaspersky has the status of the best Antivirus that money can buy. Avast is only moderately plausible as a short term solution.
